WHY IT’S SAFE TO SURRENDER ALL TO GOD
IT’S SAFE TO SURRENDER ALL TO GOD.
“For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything… See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and He rules with a mighty arm. See, His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him. He tends His flock like a shepherd:
God gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart; He gently leads those that have young. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, or with the breadth of His hand marked off the heavens?
AND, WHO HAS HELD THE DUST OF THE EARTH IN A BASKET, OR WEIGHED THE MOUNTAINS ON THE SCALES AND THE HILLS IN A BALANCE?
Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as His counselor? Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the right way?
Who was it that taught Him knowledge, or showed Him the path of understanding? Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.”
Hebrews 3:4; Isaiah 40:10-15
GOD WILL ALWAYS BE SAD WHEN HIS CHILDREN CHOOSE NOT TO FOLLOW HIM AND SURRENDER TO HIS WILL FOR THEIR LIVES.
God always and only wants the very best.
When we fight Him and go our own way…when we think we know better than Him – disaster follows, and the enemy smiles.
Our testimony is injured.
Opportunities are lost and blessings are lost.
YOU CAN TRUST GOD. YOU CAN SURRENDER ALL TO GOD.
It is time to stop it and stay out of His way for your blessing.
Now is the time for you to allow the Lord to carry you to your destiny of unimaginable awesome.
YOUR TURN …
Repeat this from His Word as many times as you need in order to memorize and believe it completely …
“I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.”
2 Timothy 1:12
Live your life believing the Father.
It’s safe to surrender all to God.
ON YOUR KNEES COME AND SINCERELY PRAY …
“I am unworthy—how can I reply to You? I put my hand over my mouth. And, I spoke once, but I have no answer—twice, but I will say no more…I know that You can do all things; no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.
You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures My plans without knowledge?‘
SURELY I SPOKE OF THINGS I DID NOT UNDERSTAND, THINGS TOO WONDERFUL FOR ME TO KNOW.
You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’ My ears had heard of You but now my eyes have seen You. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes… I know that the LORD is great, that our LORD is greater than all gods.
THE LORD DOES WHATEVER PLEASES HIM, IN THE HEAVENS AND ON THE EARTH, IN THE SEAS AND ALL THEIR DEPTHS.
Your Name, LORD, endures forever, Your renown, LORD, through all generations. For the LORD will vindicate His people and have compassion on His servants.”
Job 40:4-5; 42:2-6; Psalm 135:5-6,14-15
“This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”
Isaiah 48:17
Yes, it’s safe to surrender all to God.
HOW TO DO THIS AS A WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY
Day One: Experience Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”
Day Two: Observe & Read Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).
Day Three: Interpret Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…..”
Day Four: Application Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.
Day Five: Testify Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
