How to Reach Out to Others

“Give praise to the LORD, proclaim His Name; make known among the nations what He has done... Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples... Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction...Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation...

As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry... We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.”

1 Chronicles 16:8,24; 2 Timothy 4:2; Mark 6:15; 1 Timothy 4:5; 2 Corinthians 5:20

How to Reach Out to Others

God is putting people in your path. They need your witness.

You will not always see the fruit of your witness. Your witness may be required to sew the seed or harvest the seed sewn by another, but your role is necessary.

Remember, “And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

Who knows?

God knows!

You can reach out to others!

There have been many and there will be many more people that God will send your way for you to touch their hearts with your compassion and the telling of your faith - the truths you have experienced because you know the Father.

Loving others by sharing your faith is your purpose.

Don’t miss it.

Will you be rejected for sharing?

Yes, sometimes you will.

Will you be persecuted for sharing?

Yes, sometimes you will. These rejections and persecutions are to be celebrated, for now, you know you are following the Lord.

Don’t be persuaded to quit.

Instead repeat, “March on, my soul; be strong!” Judges 5:21

Keep going.

Reach out to others.

Keep sharing your faith.

Your turn ...

Meditate for a moment and think about who in your life needs to hear a word from you. As a name or names begin to come to your mind and heart, write them down.

Stay close to God as He instructs you.

Now, begin to shape and construct a narrative you will share. What will you say?

Now, make a commitment to share. Make this activity a daily regimen, because so many people need to hear about the God you love.

As you enjoy your day pray ...

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile... I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

Romans 1:16; Acts 20:24

“The LORD announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng: I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God... All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Psalm 68:11; Luke 12:8; Matthew 28:18-20

How to do this as a weekly Bible study

Day One: Experience Read the entire devotion. Do any verses stand out to you? If so, write it down and work on memorizing it over the week. I personally love the app “Scripture Typer.”

Day Two: Observe & Read Chain. Look up and chain verses (For example on how to chain verses, see this video).

Day Three: Interpret Read through the chain of verses starting with the first one. What do they say? Do you notice when it says “never” or “always” or “If, but, however, therefore, all…”

Day Four: Application Do “Your turn” and make a list of people that God has put on your heart when you read this.

Day Five: Testify Who in your life, right now, can you share this with? There is somebody in your life that needs to hear this. Close your eyes. What name came to mind?
